Phase A

  • Deionized water

Phase B

  • Sodium methyl cocoyl taurate
  • 30.0
  • Sodium lauroamphocetate
  • 20.0
  • Trimethylsilozyamodimethicone

Phase C

  • Purethix (Polyether-1)
  • 1.1

Phase D

  • Citric acid (25% solution) (q.s. pH to 5.5 +/- 0.2)
  • 3.0

Phase E

  • Preservative
  • 0.1
  • Zenigloss Q (Polyquaternium-57)
  • 0.5
  • Fragrance
  • 0.3

Procedure

Heat water in phase A to 75°C in main vessel and apply medium mixing agitation. Add phase B to main vessel and mix while heating to 70-75°C or until all ingredients have been fully incorporated. Remove heat and add phase C once temperature begins to drop. Add phase D between 65-68°C and q.s. pH to 5.5 +/- 0.2 with citric acid (25% solution). The Purethix from phase C will not be completely incorporated at this time and the mixture may appear cloudy. Shampoo will become clear as the mixture cools. At 40°C add phase E and mix well. Adjust pH if necessary to to 5.5 +/- 0.2 with citric acid (25% solution).
